Through techniques such as controlled fogging, split-grade filtering, and flashing, participants will gain greater control over highlight areas, shadow, and overall contrast in their prints. They will also have the opportunity to experiment with various types of papers and developers and selenium, brown, and sepia toners. Students can expect to produce at least six fully realized prints and receive a printed instruction guide for the techniques learned. This workshop is intended for photographers with a firm understanding of basic darkroom printing techniques (determining exposure, dodging, burning, and using contrast filters.)
