This is an introductory studio lighting workshop concentrating on people and product. The class offers a foundation for thinking about characteristics of light and how they can be practically applied to enhance photographic mood and message as well as create shape, form and texture.
The class is based on lighting demonstrations and student shooting. A number of lighting modifiers are demonstrated and discussed. During the workshop participants will have the opportunity to create a studio portrait and execute a glassware assignment working with their cameras tethered to monitors allowing for immediate image feedback and instruction.
Emphasis is placed on finding a personal signature lighting style. This workshop is taught in the RMCAD photography studio.
