Black & White Social

Location |  Colorado Photographic Arts Center, 1070 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80204

Next Social Date |  April 19th

Time |  6:30 – 8:30 pm (Doors open at 6pm)

TOPIC: It will be “Critique Night” at this month’s Black &White Social. We will do three group critiques to provide feedback for the photographer as well as the participants about the photography being presented.

There are still two slots open for this session. Remember the images need to be a finished presentation (at least matted).  Please email [email protected] to sign up for them. If there is time, we will also look at prints as well, so bring some of your new work if you would like to share your images.

There is pdf that provides some basic guidelines. Please take a look at them, as well as the referenced YouTube video. You can get a copy by contacting Michael Snively at the email above or clicking the link below.

Please remember this is a learning experience for all of us.

Presented by the Rocky Mountain Monochrome Salon in cooperation with the Colorado Photographic Arts Center

Black & White Social_ Guidelines for Critique

Join the members of the Rocky Mountain Monochrome Salon and discover the world of monochrome photography. Each meeting features formal print sharing, discussions on photography and art, and mingling with other photography enthusiasts. This meeting is free and open to individuals interested in black and white photography.

The mission of the Rocky Mountain Monochrome Salon is to support fine art photographers across the Rocky Mountain region while educating the public about the history, processes and value of black and white (monochrome) photography today. The members of the Rocky Mountain Monochrome Salon use black and white photography to weave a vibrant tableau in shades of gray, showing that what makes us the same can also make us wonderfully different.

CPAC is a community-driven institution dedicated to fostering the understanding and appreciation of photography in all aspects and genres through promotion, exhibition, and education.
