Course Description:

This is an introduction to cinemagraphs or living photos! Cinemagraphs are seamlessly looping videos or animations that allow just one element of a photographic composition to move while the rest remains static. We will begin by discussing what a cinemagraph is, show some examples of cinemagraphs, and discuss the shooting process. Then, we will shoot videos using a DSLR with video capabilities, or a smartphone and a tripod. After shooting, we will go through processing these videos into living photos using Adobe Photoshop. Finally, we will export our cinemagraphs as videos or animated gifs to share the magic with others.
