Objective:

In this week-long workshop, students (ages 11-14) are introduced to creative methods of photography using the tool they carry with them most often-a smartphone.

Course Description:

Using smartphone cameras is a fun, easy and creative introduction to photography.  This workshop, best for teens ages 11-14, will discuss basic rules of composition, camera controls, and telling stories through smartphone image-making.  These skills will be practiced through daily photo walks to capture images, and adjusting/enhancing images through in-app editing .

Students will have a chance to print 4 of their favorite images during the week. Parents, friends and family are encouraged to attend the final slide show of student work on Friday June 23 at 11:30 am (at the new CPAC gallery!)

Any smart phone with a camera that can run the Snapseed app, (download link below) will work for this workshop.
