This workshop will discuss the ways that photography projects are created while screening photos from master photographers’ photo projects. We’ll address how to develop your ideas into projects, whether it’s a single-session photo story, or a long-term documentary. Then we’ll cover what’s needed to build a narrative, what to do if you discover a story you weren’t intending to tell, structuring the project, the difference between art and documentary photographs, creating real deadlines, and working as a strong editor of your work. The instructor will wrap up with screen examples from his own projects and a Q&A.
