This workshop will discuss the ways that photography projects are created while screening photos from master photographers’ photo projects. Then address how to develop your ideas into projects, whether it’s a single-session photo story, or a long term documentary, what’s needed to build a narrative, what to do if you discover a story you weren’t intending to tell, structuring the project, the difference between art and documentary photographs, creating real deadlines, working as a strong editor of your work and finding a place to exhibit your work. The instructor will wrap up with screen examples from his own projects including his Summer Parks 18 Project, his Wise Photo Project, his Bus Stop Project and his 4x4x5 project, along with time for a Q&A.
