Prerequisite  |  Introduction to tintypes or previous collodion (ambrotype or tintype) experience preferred but not required. Basic black and white darkroom experience is helpful but not required.

Learn the basics of making glass plate negatives suitable for printing in any alternative process using the wet-plate collodion process. This workshop will cover the history, chemistry, exposure, and processing to get you to the negatives you need – all without ever touching a computer. We will proof our negatives using the Van Dyke brown process at the end of class.
