When you’re setting up an Instagram for your creative business, it’s important to cover the basics before getting into more high-level strategy and planning. This workshop covers the ins-and-outs of getting your Instagram up and running: We’ll set up notifications, link social accounts, learn to edit and upload photos, design basic templates, utilize Instagram Stories, and cover some blaring no-no’s and Insta-time-wasters that anyone using Instagram for business should avoid.

Nina and Danny de Zayas, co-founders of From the Hip Photo, have developed their company’s Instagram accounts into visual portfolios of their distinctive work. The first step to setting up a unique, engaging, fruitful Instagram presence is covering the basics and making sure you’re managing those well. This workshop is a fit for those who are setting up an account for the first time. However, if you’ve got a sneaking suspicion that you don’t quite use Instagram the right way, it’s a great idea to go back to the basics and build a smart strategy on a solid foundation.
