This workshop will lead you through the basics of Photoshop, the world’s most popular image editing software. Photoshop can be used for all kinds of art making, but this workshop focuses on the workflow and tools mainly used with photography. Learn basic navigation (layout and resizing), adjustments (cropping, color, brightness and contrast, simple retouching), saving and exporting files, as well as browsing, organizing and editing large batches of photographs using the couple software Bridge. This workshop is perfect for those whom have never even opened Photoshop as well as for people who have explored the software a bit on their own, but could use some basic tips and understanding. Prior to class, students should have Adobe Photoshop already installed, and preferably have Adobe Bridge installed as well. Before the first session, the instructor will email you files that we will be working on in class.

Materials Needed:

  • Computer with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge installed
  • Notebook and pen for notes
  • Zoom account (free) for access to class
  • Additional tablet or screen (optional -suggested for seeing instructor while working)
