03 Sep KIDS PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK
October 3–11, 2013 is “Kids Photography Week” in Colorado.
“Kids Photography Week provides an opportunity for children to express their creativity through the visual medium of photography, while also practicing skills like math and science.” Governor John Hickenlooper, August 16, 2012
Kids Photography Week is an annual event that offers youth, ages 5-18, an exciting opportunity to participate in a week of photo activities throughout the Denver Metro area. Between October 3 – 11, CPAC and our partner organizations co-present daily low or no cost activities ranging from photo scavenger hunts for younger kids, to mixed-media photo workshops for older youth.
Promising young photographers are encouraged to bring their own digital camera, or use one of CPAC’s. Each event will be a unique creative experience for youth led by experienced art educators. Regional art schools and educators are encouraged to hold their own Kids Photo Week events. Curricula and promotional materials are available from CPAC.
Most events are free or reduced cost to youth under 18 and are open to the general public (nominal charge to accompanying adults). Information will be added as details are confirmed.
Call 303-837-1341 or email for reservations and more information.
