Skill Level  |  Beginners in Large Format Photography

This workshop is meant for photographers who have acquired large format cameras and are getting started in using them. From simple hand-holdable Graflex Speed Graphics to full-size large format field cameras and monorails with camera movements, Kenneth will discuss what is possible with the large camera from camera movements and different lens choices, and how you can use your camera to work in a deliberate, methodical way to create photo projects and high-quality images. He will discuss film types and costs, and the tools he uses to hand-process his film at his own studio which can make shooting the large negative much more cost-efficient.

Required Equipment:

  • Large format camera and lens (4×5, 5×7 or 8×10) and tripod required.
  • Pen and paper for notes
  • Lunch & water bottle (optional)
