Photographs are made with the heart and mind first, and the camera second. Given that, what’s all recent buzz about mirrorless cameras? These smaller, feature rich cameras captured 40 % of the market last year, proving they have come of age. The entry by Nikon and Canon into the full-frame mirrorless market in 2018 cements the idea held by many experts that the mirrorless camera will soon replace the traditional almost one hundred year old SLR camera.
This workshop is for the photographer who is curious about these new creative tools or having difficulty mastering their mirrorless camera. The workshop begins with a general overview of the advantages and disadvantages of mirrorless cameras and then we will do a deep dive into the menus and features that are typical and common to the bestselling mirrorless cameras including Sony, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, and Panasonic. The workshop will offer an opportunity to apply your newly gained knowledge with a Sunday afternoon photo shoot in Denver’s Art District.
