The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to NFT as it relates to artworks, both digital and physical, using the Algorand Blockchain.

Course Description:

In this workshop, the NFT (non-fungible token) will be demystified. The workshop presenter has been creating artworks specifically for NFT for over a year using an alias as a way to research this emerging space, now the time has come to share that experience with anyone interested in applying this emerging technology to their artistic practice. This 8-hour workshop will walk you through creating and minting NFTs from start to finish and teach you how to list them on a variety of marketplace. You will be well-prepared to authenticate the ownership of future digital assets and buy and sell digitally created content. We will also cover how to use an NFT to archive Certificate of Authenticity information for physical artworks being sold using traditional means.

Note: The cost of this workshop does not cover the fees associated with minting and listing your NFT. Please allot an additional $10-20 to convert to Algo to mint artwork and make transactions on the Algorand Blockchain network using a Crypto Exchange such as Coinbase.

Minting an NFT is optional. If you would like to attend the class but not mint an NFT, you are welcome to do so.
