Personal photographic projects provide a way for photographer’s to explore subjects of social, political, and personal interest, as well as a means to strengthen creative, visual, and technical skills. Personal projects keep us connected to why we became photographers in the first place – our love of visual exploration and creative self-expression.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a framework for creating, producing, and evaluating a personal body of work, within a supportive community of photographers. Through a series monthly meetings, you will be able to receive the instruction, critique, and support necessary to develop, and create a new body of work. The workshop begins with a two-day meeting followed by one day meetings the following three months. On Sunday August 6th, workshop participants will have a one-on-one portfolio review and the opportunity to discuss their individual project proposals. All levels of experience are welcome, the only criterion is that you are committed to producing a body of work in your area of interest.
