Photoshop can be used for all kinds of art making, but this workshop focuses on the tools mainly used with photography. Whether you’ve never even opened the software or have dabbled here and there, this workshop is for you. We’ll cover navigation of the Photoshop workspace and the workflow of browsing, organizing and processing RAW images in Bridge before bringing them into Photoshop. We’ll go over basic image editing and retouching, saving and exporting files, followed by a quick introduction to masking.
Prior to class, students should have Adobe Photoshop already installed, and preferably have Adobe Bridge installed as well. Having a second monitor or device is highly recommended for this online class. Before the first session, the instructor will email you files that we will be working on in class.
Materials Needed:
- Computer with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge installed
- A second monitor or device (recommended)
- Notebook and pen for notes
- Zoom account (free) for access to class
