ABOUT | Rick Wester, President of RWFA Rick Wester Fine Art, New York has, since 1977, witnessed first-hand the rise of the photography market from a virtually unknown collecting category to a burgeoning global network of international dealers and galleries to a virtual world on the internet. In this online conversation with CPAC Executive Director & Curator, Samantha Johnston, Mr. Wester will convey his experience in the private dealing, international auction and commercial gallery worlds while peppering the conversations with tales of how artists get shown in galleries, what he thinks makes an artist successful, where the photography market is now and how it got here. Mr. Wester is President of his eponymous gallery, on the Board of and a Certified Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the photography expert for the internationally renowned Baer Faxt Art Advisory, a former member of AIPAD and a long time benefit auctioneer.

PhotoVox is a monthly program offered by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center to help you strengthen your artistic voice with the support of other photographers and artists in the Denver Metro community. Meetings are held monthly at either CPAC’s downtown gallery or virtually on Zoom, and feature discussions led by local arts and community leaders. Three sessions per year are dedicated to portfolio sharing.
