ABOUT | In an increasingly digital world, NFTs are the latest cryptocurrencies to get all the attention. NFT is the abbreviation for “Non-Fungible Token”. Non-fungible means it cannot be exchanged for something of similar value. A token is a digital asset issued by a blockchain. And a blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. In other words, a NFT is nothing more than a unique and secured digital certificate/signature that can be attached to any object, physical or virtual.
Join us for January’s PhotoVox and learn from speaker Justin Aversano how NFTs give artists the chance to create and sell digital artwork. A pioneer photographer in the world of NFTs for his “Twin Flames” documentary portrait collection, Justin has reached new heights with his success by gaining recognition from famous auctioneers such as Sotheby’s and Christies.
Justin will speak to his experience of selling, as well as discuss the co-founding of Quantum NFT.
Additionally, he will address the following questions:
> What are NFTs exactly?
> What is blockchain’s impact on the art market?
> What does ownership and collecting look like?
