Shirin Chahal is an attorney whose practice is dedicated to serving mission-driven entrepreneurs, local small businesses, and the arts and entertainment industries. Prior to becoming an attorney, Shirin worked in the music industry, first at a booking agency working with a number of touring bands, and then at a major record label in Los Angeles. Today, Shirin serves as a volunteer attorney for Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) and is a board member of the Boulder County Arts Alliance (BCAA). For fun, she enjoys going to live concerts and shows, gardening, snowboarding, travelling, and hiking year-round with her retired-racer greyhound.
David L. Rein Jr. focuses his practice on copyright, trademark, trade secret, and helping start-ups at the Colorado office of Erickson Kernell IP. He works with clients who are developing or acquiring intellectual property, provides strategic advice and when necessary, litigates disputes in court and in other forums. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Before entering the world of small firms, he litigated intellectual property and commercial disputes for sixteen years at an AmLaw100 law firm and clerked for the Honorable Judge Dean Whipple of the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri. He is active in the American Bar Associations Intellectual Property Section and the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Copyright Society. Dave is also a board member for 40 West Arts District, a member of the Colorado Attorneys for the Arts, a member of the Lakewood Advisory Commission for an Inclusive Community, and a volunteer at Mi Casa Resource Center.
PhotoVox is a monthly program offered by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center to help you strengthen your artistic voice with the support of other photographers and artists in the Denver Metro community. Meetings are held monthly at CPAC’s downtown gallery, and feature discussions led by local arts and community leaders. Three sessions per year are dedicated to portfolio sharing.
