Many elements go into consistently creating great portraits for magazines and clients. All of them start with great lighting. Proper lighting can make an ordinary portrait, extraordinary. Many times as an assignment photographer you are shooting a subject without knowing anything about the environment you will be shooting in and the lighting is critical in creating the the best images.
During this four-session class you will learn how to use ambient light, simple location strobe, and get an introduction to studio lighting. The class begins by teaching the fundamentals of lighting and introduces you to studio lighting equipment. From there, we will explore lighting set-ups, modifiers and more. Students will have an opportunity to work with a wide variety of studio lighting equipment and a model.
