Personal Data You Provide

Depending on how you interact with our Website and services, we will collect the following personal data that you voluntarily provide to us for the following purpose:

• Memberships and Donations. To sign up for a membership or make a donation, you will provide us with your name, email address, physical address, phone number, and payment information. If you sign up for a membership, then you will create an account and password for future login purposes.
• Newsletter, Updates, and Events. To subscribe to our newsletter or updates, or submit an event, you will provide us with your name and email address. You may opt out of the email newsletter at any time by following the link in the newsletter footer or by emailing info@cpacphoto.org and referencing “Remove from Email Newsletter” in the subject line.
• Sponsorship and Ad Purchases. To become a sponsor or purchase an advertisement, you will provide us with your name, email address, company information, and the information you want to include on an applicable advertisement.
• Photography Entry, Portfolio Reviews, and Darkroom Reservations. To submit your photography, sign up for a portfolio review opportunity, or reserve a darkroom you will provide us with your name, email address, and phone number.
• Student Discounts. To qualify for a student discount, you will provide us with your name, email address, and student ID.
• Event Space Rental. To rent an event space, you will provide us with your name, email address, physical address, phone number, and payment information.
• Residency Applications and Scholarships. To apply for a residency or scholarship you will provide us with your name, email address, phone number, physical address, and any other personal data as provided in your application materials, including your resume/CV.
• Summer Camps. To sign up your child or teen for a summer camp, you will provide your child/teen’s name, your name, email address, physical address, signature, and phone number. You may also provide your child/teen’s allergy or other health related information.

Personal Data as You Navigate Our Website 

We automatically collect certain personal data through your use of our Website and our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, such as the following:  

• Usage Information. For example, the pages on the Website you access, the frequency of access, and what you click on while on the Website. 

• Device Information. For example, hardware model, operating system, application version number, and browser. 

• Mobile Device Information. Aggregated information about whether the Website is accessed via a mobile device or tablet, the device type, and the carrier. 
• Location Information. Location information from Website visitors on a city-regional basis.

4.COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Like many other companies, we use cookies and other tracking technologies (such as pixels and web beacons) (collectively, “Cookies”). “Cookies” are small files of information that are stored by your web browser software on your computer hard drive, mobile or other devices (e.g., smartphones or tablets).

• Understand and save your preferences for future visits, allowing us to customize the Website and services to your individual needs;

Google Analytics 

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses Cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with the Website and services, compile reports on their activity, and provide other services related to their activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor, and any referring website. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. Google reCAPTCHA 

We use Google reCAPTCHA, a free service provided by Google, Inc., to protect our Website from spam and abuse. Google reCAPTCHA uses advanced risk analysis techniques to decipher humans and bots. Google reCAPTCHA works differently depending on what version is deployed. For example, you may be asked to check a box indicating that you are not a robot or Google reCAPTCHA may detect abusive traffic without user interaction. 5.“DO NOT TRACK” SIGNALS

Some internet browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Given that there is not a uniform way that browsers communicate the “Do Not Track” signal, the Website does not currently interpret, respond to or alter its practices when it receives “Do Not Track” signals

6.CHOICES ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time by contacting CPAC at the email address or phone number listed on the CPAC Website. Likewise, you have the right to request that any personal data has about you be provided to you, erased, corrected, restricted, and/or ported to another service provider.

7.CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

This Website is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, please ensure that you use this Website only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If a child under the age of 13 has provided this Website with personal data, we ask that a parent or guardian contact us at info@cpacphoto.org so that we may delete such information.

8.AGGREGATED DATA

CPAC may also compile and provide aggregate anonymized statistics about our visitors, customers, sales, traffic patterns and related Website information to third parties such as event sponsors, but these statistics will not include any personal data.

We may combine information you give to us online or in other ways. We may also combine this information with publicly available information and information we received from or have cross referenced with our third-party vendors such as information collected from cookies and other technologies, like pixel tags, to improve your user experience, to communicate with you about products or events that may be of interest to you, or for other promotional purposes.

9.LINKING

CPAC’s Website may include links to websites operated by third parties over which we have no control. Once you leave the CPAC Website, the CPAC Privacy Policy will not apply, and your access to such sites is at your own risk.

10.FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS & DONOR PRIVACY

When you enter into a financial transaction with CPAC, including but not limited to purchasing a membership, making a donation, or purchasing online tickets or other products, we and our third party merchants and agents may collect information necessary to process your transaction: your name, billing and shipping address, telephone number, and email address. The third-party merchants may collect your credit card information and process your credit card transactions. Wherever CPAC collects payment information such as credit card data, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

11.SECURITY

We do not sell our donor, member, or visitor personal data. We do not exchange with other organizations the names and addresses we receive, unless it is for a joint program in which you are participating. While CPAC uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, CPAC also protects your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personal data. If you feel that we are not abiding by this Privacy Policy, you should contact us immediately via the contact information listed on the CPAC Website.

12.CHANGES IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY

CPAC may amend this privacy policy at any time; please review it periodically. We will update the “last updated date” at the top of this Privacy Policy to indicate changes to the Policy.
