Objective:
In this workshop, students will explore the act of play as a catalyst for photographic processes and find new and unusual ways to connect with nature while making unique photos.
Course Description:
This workshop will be a chance to reconnect with your child-like creative spirit with nature play! We will begin by discussing the benefits of play to the brain and explore some artists and photographers who utilize play in their creative processes. We will start our dive into play with more directed activities within the gallery space then transition more open-ended play to begin exploring nature. Together, we will observe and recognize the natural world to honor its playful rhythms. Then, we will dive into the bold act of creating by experimenting with materials around us. This sort of nature play will lead us to create unique and memorable photographic images.
