Objective:
Learn to make dynamic street portraits: how to approach people, introduce yourself and connect with them, direct pose and expression, and make a strong portrait in a short street photo session.
Description:
This special Summer Photo Walks with CPAC edition takes place during Denver Pride Parade set-up—a unique, high-energy environment filled with anticipation, community, and visual storytelling. Join CPAC instructor Kenneth Wajda at Cheesman Park for a guided morning focused on the art and approach of street portraiture.
Kenneth will share practical strategies for approaching strangers with confidence and respect, building quick rapport, and making strong portraits in changing light and busy public spaces.
We’ll begin with a brief framing talk and prompts, then spend the majority of the time photographing on location. Along the way, Kenneth will offer optional, informal feedback to help you refine your approach, your direction, and your portraits.
All cameras are welcome—DSLR, mirrorless, film, or smartphone.
