We're currently installing Industry Standard, which opens to the public this Friday, August 12th. And couldn't resist sharing some of the details with you. ⁠

In this exhibit, artists @megganlgould and @andymattern create a visual conversation about how photographic tools and conventions can be rethought in order to expand the notions of what we can expect and accept from the medium of photography.⁠

Opening reception is Saturday, August 13th from 5 - 8 pm, where guests can meet both Gould and Mattern. ⁠

This quarter’s featured member is Jason Reblando (@jjrebs)! We recognize our members for their outstanding work and their support of our organization. ⁠

Reblando was awarded Best in Show by juror Gregory Harris during our 2022 Annual Members’ Show Opening Reception. His images are part of a larger project entitled “Field Notes” and were created using photocollage techniques with archival photographs from the American colonial period in the Philippines.⁠

This image comes from her series “Conversations with Myself,” which she continues to develop. Her self portraiture uses light, location, and a curated collection of props and garments to create a bridge between the present and the past in this body of work referencing women, family, and identity.⁠

CPAC member Ken Konchel (@kenkonchel) is a special mention artist in our Annual Members' Show with his two images “Arrangement” and “Serration,” both large format silver gelatin photographs.⁠

Konchel is drawn to the expressive power of buildings. Provocatively capturing architecture in an abstract, graphic way. ⁠
⁠
He is showing his work in other parts of the country this year, including at Indiana University, The Montgomery Photo Festival, and Green Door Art Gallery.⁠
