Cost  | Non-Members $240   Members $217.50

Skill level  |  Teen has taken an entry level photography class

Goal: To introduce teens to fine art silver gelatin printing techniques

Objectives: At the end of this workshop, participants will:

1. Understand and explain concepts such as tonal range, mood, and composition;

2. Understand and use intermediate-level darkroom techniques such as contrast filtering, dodging/burning, split-bath development, and toning

Required supplies for this program:

Materials (student provides):

  • Examples of prints from previous classwork
  • Negatives from previous classes
  • A work apron, optional
  • One-way local bus fare (Friday only)
  • Lunch (Monday through Thursday)

Materials (CPAC provides):

  • Photographic paper, RC & fiber
  • Film and paper chemistry (includes toners)
  • Handouts
  • Nitrile exam gloves
  • Access to CPAC institutional collection for study
