Objective:
Students will learn how to shoot black & white film in-camera and how to print negatives into photographs in a traditional black & white darkroom.
Course Description:
In this introductory week-long workshop students learn how to load and photograph with an SLR film camera, developing the film, then spend the week making prints from their negatives in a professional, college-level darkroom. They will learn the fundamental rules of dynamic composition, mastering the exposure triangle, developing film, printing a contact sheet in the darkroom, and making 5×7 prints from their negatives. No previous experience is necessary. Just come ready to have fun!
