Course Description:
Go beyond the quick click of a smartphone photo with this in-person workshop, geared toward beginner and intermediate photography students. We will learn the functions of buttons and dials on the camera and practice using different modes (including Aperture and Shutter priority) to demonstrate why a student might want to choose a digital camera with interchangeable and zoom lenses over a smartphone camera.
Students will learn subjective techniques to make interesting portraits and still life photos, in addition to technical techniques such as long-exposure. Loaner cameras/batteries/memory cards are available through CPAC on request.
