This workshop is about play, and creativity. We will develop vision with our cameras using analog film and experiment with traditional black and white prints in the darkroom. Among the techniques we will apply are making images without cameras, the use of plastic cameras, double exposures, solarization, and distressing film. Inspirational examples of many types of film and print techniques will be shown and students will have adequate time to photograph and print in the darkroom. Parents are invited to see the work at the end of the workshop.

Please note: this workshop is for all levels, no prior darkroom experience is needed to take this class.

Required supplies for this program:

  • Paper Notebook and pen or pencil
  • a SLR film camera CPAC may have one to loan if needed

Materials Provided with fee:

  • 25 sheets of 8×10 paper
  • 3 rolls of B&W film
  • Chemicals to process film & paper
