Many teens have a growing interest in photography. In this guided workshop students learn the basic operation of digital cameras, how to compose a photograph, use natural light to create a compelling portrait and how to critique and judge a photograph on its merits. Students leave the workshop with one 4”x6” print of their best photographs. The workshop closes with a slideshow of student work. Student computers are not required for this workshop, but each participant will need to have a digital DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Cell phone cameras do not meet this requirement.
Required supplies for this program:
- Paper Notebook and pen or pencil
- Digital camera with manual controls (DSLR or Mirrorless) CPAC may have cameras available for loan, please contact the Education department for details
- Memory Card for camera
- Water bottle, SPF, Hat, Sunglasses (encouraged)
Please note: In response to COVID-19 we have reduced this class size to 6 students in order to maintain safe distance practices.
