Objective:
Students learn skills in digital photography using DSLR or mirrorless digital cameras through daily exercises and critiques. No previous photography experience is needed to take this workshop. No previous photography experience is necessary.
Course Description
Teens have a growing interest in digital photography. In this guided workshop, students learn the basic operation of digital cameras, composition, and how to use natural light to create a compelling photograph and how to critique and judge a photograph on its merits. Students will photograph each day and give their camera card to the instructor who will process and edit the work for each day’s critique session. Students leave the workshop with four 4”x6” prints of their best photographs. The workshop ends with a slideshow of student work, parents and siblings are encouraged to attend. Cell phones cameras do not meet the requirements for this class (see the Creative Cell Phone Photography class).
