(Un)Common Threads features eight members of the Rocky Mtn. Monochrome Salon: Michael Snively, Jacqueline Webster, Jeffery Graves, Ron Johnson, Dave Barry, Linda Little, Christopher James, and Michael Whiteley. The members of the Rocky Mountain Monochrome Salon use black and white photography to weave a vibrant tableau in shades of gray, showing that what makes us the same can also make us wonderfully different.
The mission of the Rocky Mtn. Monochrome Salon is to support fine art photographers across the Rocky Mountain region while educating the public about the history, processes and value of black and white (monochrome) photography today.
“(Un)Common Threads” is sponsored by The Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC). CPAC is a community-driven institution dedicated to fostering the understanding and appreciation of photography in all aspects and genres through promotion, exhibition, and education. Founded in Denver in 1963, the Center is the only not-for-profit organization in the Denver area that is solely dedicated to supporting contemporary photography and other lens-based media.
