Reflect on your work, gain insight, and realize what kind of photography you are really interested in, while learning to create more dynamic compositions. The goal of this workshop is to recognize and progress the inner photographer and expression of each student, while improving control of composition and concept. Participants will share a collection of their photographs and inspirational images, or online sites. The instructor will then guide the class through strategies to visually dissect images and how to observe, verbalize and give constructive feedback, as well as how to take criticism and feedback. Students will be given journaling and self reflective picture taking exercises to challenge them to reflect upon their work from a different perspective, in order to give them a current focus. Whether you are new to realizing your photographic expression is bigger than social media, or if you are a “veteran” feeling a bit stuck, this workshop focuses on how to progress who you are right now, as a photographer.
