Course Description:

When it comes to creating a body of work, photographers are usually guided on how to make the work stronger technically, visually, and conceptually. Yet, a common under spoken thread that connects all of these components together is the complicated act of care. In this workshop, we will explore the various ways of enacting intentional care in our photographic practices while keeping in mind the limitations and how to navigate with those limitations. In addition to having discussions, we will also explore the work of various photo-based artists and writers. Regardless of where you are in your practice, whether you are currently in a rest period, finalizing a body of work or at the beginning, you are welcome to participate in this workshop.
